Five Generations
in the Trees.
Tree care has been part of my family for five generations. I started at 14, spending my summers working alongside my grandfather at Blooma Tree Experts and learning the trade from the ground up.
Today, I bring that foundation together with a more refined approach to pruning, one that puts the health and structure of the tree first, while treating every tree as a natural part of the landscape.
Rooted in the Trade
AA Family History of Tree Work
Before I ever climbed a tree myself, generations of my family had already built their lives around them. My grandfather carried that tradition into residential tree care through Blooma Tree Experts, while the generations before him worked in Oregon's logging industry, including Macualey Brothers.
Growing up around that history gave me something that can't really be learned in a classroom: a respect for the trade, the trees, and the knowledge passed from one generation to the next.
My Approach
Pruning with Purpose
Working alongside my uncle at Spring Tree Experts introduced me to a finer style of pruning and helped shape the approach I use today.
I believe good pruning shouldn't simply make a tree smaller or cleaner. It should improve its health, structure, and relationship with the landscape. Every cut should have a reason.
The goal is a tree that looks natural not obviously “trimmed” while becoming healthier, safer, and more beautiful over time.
